Motivational Speech
Over 250 people attended the South East Region Millennium Volunteer of the year 2005 Awards. The South East region covers Milton Keynes, Oxfordshire, Buckinghamshire, Berkshire, Hampshire, Surrey, Sussex and Kent and recognise young people between 16 and 24 for their efforts around the community in their chosen area. Ian attended this event to deliver a motivational speech and present the awards.

"Ian stepped into presenting the Awards for the South East Millennium Volunteers Awards on 22nd January at very short notice. His presentation of his life, motivation, sporting career and ambitions for the next Paralympics certainly showed what young people can achieve. He also emphasised what a change volunteers had made to his life and he exhorted young people to continue with their volunteering. His presence at the event and his interaction with the young people were inspirational."

6th December 2005
The Executive Network - Christmas Event
Motivational Speech
The Executive Network as you know are all board level individuals who are keen to network and are as such without doubt a demanding audience to address and entertain. This you did with consummate ease, providing an interesting and well judged delivery on the challenges you have faced with honour and also delivering some clear messages.

I have had many positive comments on the contribution that you made that evening and an article about the dinner will be posted in our newsletter due out in about a weeks’ time.

Member Comment
“As a double Paralympic medallist, Ian demonstrates how courage and preparation can overcome obstacles to produce world beating success. ‘The Story so Far’ is more than motivation – it challenges audiences to recognise strengths and overcome weaknesses when building personal paths for success in their own endeavours.”
